Layla has been into Charlie and Lola for quite some time now. For about the first 2 years of life she was completely in love with Yo Gabba Gabba which then proceeded to Minnie Mouse and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. She is now transitioning to the witty, cleaver, hilarious, and very imaginative Lola of Charlie and Lola. When we take our Friday library trips Layla goes straight to the Lauren Child's section where the Charlie and Lola and Clarice Bean books are located.
I really like Charlie and Lola myself. The cartoons are based on the books that Lauren Child wrote. Layla is at the age where she understands what's going on in the cartoon and what the moral of the story is. She likes to reference Charlie and Lola a lot along with their friends Lota, Marv, and Sizzles (Marv's dog). My friend Alex gave Layla 2 DVDs and increased her liking to them. It's so sweet to hear Layla burst into laughter because of something Lola did. I'll hear her say, "silly Lola!!"
