Postpartum Hair

Postpartum hair is the worst. For about 2 months I have been shedding like a dog like crazy. There is DNA spread throughout my house, car, Layla's school, the grocery store, and the gym (just to name a few places). I've read up on postpartum hair loss and the article said that everyone looses up to 100 strands of hair a day but if you recently gave birth a mother can loose up to 500 strands a day!! Lets just say Alex is not too pleased with this. I have long strands of hair so we are constantly sweeping and vacuuming this house of ours. Between my hair and Matador's hair on the floor we have enough to make a wig.

The craziest time my hair comes out is when I take a shower. I try to only wash my hair every other day so that I'm not pulling more hair out because when I wash my hair clumps come out, or so it seems like clumps. Target shopping always calls for Drano because our drain is forever clogged. I could be a professional plumber by now with Drano and a plunger in tow. You've got a clogged drain, I'm your girl :)

But here is the crazy thing, not only am I loosing a ridiculous amount of hair a day but I recently found new sprouting hair. I started growing a new set of bangs. The annoying thing is that my new bangs are so fine so there is no taming them. Hairspray can only do so much. They look like little baby hairs, or as my mom would call them when I was small, angel hair. I have no idea where she gets this stuff from. So I have all these fly aways flailing about in the front and on the top of my head and a whole bunch of other strands falling out on my plate of food or getting stuck on my shirt and tickling my arm. It's exhausting just thinking about it.

I am eagerly awaiting for this all to end.
